Adams Joins Gambia Squad for AFCON Qualifiers

Derby County midfielder Ebou Adams has joined the Gambian national team for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations Preliminary Qualifying matches against Madagascar.

Adams, a key player for Derby County in the Sky Bet Championship, has made nine appearances since signing permanently this summer following a successful loan spell during the second half of the 2023/24 promotion-winning season.

The midfielder will be part of Gambia’s squad for the AFCON double-header against Madagascar, with both matches taking place in Morocco on Friday, October 11th, and Monday, October 14th.

Adams, who made his debut for Gambia in 2018, has earned over 20 caps for his country. He played in both of Gambia’s recent AFCON qualifiers, starting in a 1-1 draw against Comoros and coming off the bench in a 2-1 loss to Tunisia.
