Meanwhile, Morocco continued their flawless performance with a dominant win against the Central African Republic, while Tunisia earned a valuable point in a draw against Comoros.
Comoros 1-1 Tunisia:
Tunisia managed a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Comoros at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium. Comoros took the lead in the 49th minute through Faiz Selemani, but Tunisia’s Yassine Meriah equalized in the 68th minute. The result keeps Tunisia on top of Group A with 7 points, closely followed by Comoros with 6 points. Tunisia remains in control as they pursue AFCON qualification.
Ethiopia 0-3 Guinea:
Guinea claimed an important win against Ethiopia in Group H, played at the Ebimpe Stadium. Serhou Guirassy scored twice in the first half, including a penalty in the 23rd minute, after netting earlier in the 16th minute. Abdoulaye Touré added a third goal in the 19th minute, securing Guinea’s victory. Guirassy, who had scored a hat-trick in their previous encounter with Ethiopia, now has five goals in two games against the same team. Guinea moves to second in the group with 6 points, while Ethiopia remains at the bottom with 1 point.
Central African Republic 0-4 Morocco:
Morocco’s dominant run continued with a 4-0 victory over the Central African Republic at Stade Honoré in Oujda. Elias Ben Seghir scored twice in the first half, with Youssef En-Nesyri adding a penalty early in the second half. Abdessamad Ezzalzouli sealed the win with a goal in the 65th minute. Already qualified as hosts, Morocco has a perfect record with 12 points from four matches, while the Central African Republic sits in third with 3 points.
