On Saturday, Africell partnered with the First Lady’s FaBB Foundation to host a 4-kilometer walk aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer. The event was supported by the Walk For Health Association, which regularly organizes fitness and health walks.
Led by First Lady Fatoumatta Barrow, participants walked from Westfield to Iceman and back to Africell via Kanifing. In her address, the First Lady emphasized the importance of regular cancer screenings for early detection and encouraged collective support for those battling cancer.
Africell CEO Hussein Diab thanked the First Lady for her active participation and called on all Gambians to join the fight against cancer, aiming for a future with zero cases in the country. The event saw participation from the Nigerian ECOMIG contingent, the Gambia Armed Forces, and numerous volunteers.
