The Economics and Management Students Association (ECOMANSA) of the University of The Gambia has announced its upcoming research trip, scheduled to commence on February 2, 2025. The 10-day nationwide expedition aims to investigate the factors behind students’ poor performance in core subjects in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
This year’s event, themed “Exploring the Factors Influencing WASSCE Performance Among Grade 12 Students in The Gambia: Causes, Perceptions, Challenges, and Trends,” will provide ECOMANSA members with a platform to gather valuable data and insights. The initiative also seeks to encourage collaboration and academic growth among students.
The ECOMANSA executive has called on students from the School of Business and Public Administration to actively participate and support this significant academic endeavor. Besides research, the trip offers participants opportunities for networking, socializing, and engaging in academic exchanges with students across the country.
With limited slots available, interested participants are urged to secure their spots early by paying the registration fee of D4,000. ECOMANSA is committed to making this year’s trip both enriching and memorable, ensuring participants get value for their investment.
