The Economic Community of West African States Mission in The Gambia (ECOMIG) and the Gambia Defense Security Forces (GDSF) have partnered to raise cancer awareness in the North Bank Region.
As part of the campaign, they conducted educational sessions at the Ghancoy Camp, followed by a screening initiative at the Essau District Hospital.
The initiative aims to inform the public about the importance of early detection and encourage proactive health screenings. Medical professionals were on-site to conduct tests and provide guidance, with a focus on creating long-term health benefits for the region’s communities. The collaboration underscores the commitment of both ECOMIG and GDSF to improving public health and supporting vital health campaigns.
