Gambia Seeks Partnership with Egypt in Pharmaceuticals and Fisheries

During the 81st session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, Egypt’s Ambassador to Dakar met with Gambian ministers of Health and Water Resources to discuss potential collaborations. Egypt highlighted its advancements in the pharmaceutical sector and expressed readiness to cooperate with Gambia in healthcare, with Egyptian companies preparing to enter the Gambian market.

 

The Gambian Health Minister praised the reputation of Egyptian doctors and pharmaceuticals in Gambia and proposed studies on establishing a pharmaceutical facility in the country, pledging support for Egyptian firms operating locally.

 

The Gambian Minister of Water Resources also expressed interest in fisheries collaboration. Egypt welcomed this initiative, reinforcing its commitment to support Gambia across various sectors.
