The Gambia U-17 football team resumed training on Tuesday, 1st October 2024, at the National Technical Training Centre in Old Yundum as they prepare for the upcoming WAFU Zone A U-17 tournament.
After a weekend break, the team returned to an intensive training regime. The tournament is scheduled to start on 20th October 2024 and will run until 3rd November 2024.
Led by Assistant Coach Lamin Sanneh, the Baby Scorpions are focusing on their technical preparations for this major regional competition. The Gambia U-17 team has a proud history, having won the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations in both 2005 and 2009.
