Gambia Women’s FF Cup Set to Begin with Division Two Playoffs

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) has announced the kickoff of the 2024/25 FF Cup competition for women’s league clubs, aligning it with the start of the domestic league season.

Following a meeting of the Competitions Organizing Committee at the GFF Secretariat in Kanifing, it was confirmed that 12 second division teams will compete in six playoff matches. The winners will then join the 10 first division teams in the round of 16.

Matchups for the round of 16 will be decided through a random ballot, with the first team drawn serving as the home side and the second as the away side. The rest of the tournament — including the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final — will follow a bracket system modeled on the previous season’s format.
