Gambian President Delivers Message to King Mohammed VI

Gambian President Adama Barrow has conveyed a written message to King Mohammed VI of Morocco. The message was delivered by Gambian Foreign Minister Mamadou Tangara during a meeting with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita in Rabat.

 

Speaking to the press after the meeting, Tangara expressed Gambia’s gratitude to King Mohammed VI for Morocco’s support, particularly in the context of Gambia’s leadership of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He highlighted the pivotal role of the King, as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in contributing to the organization’s achievements.

 

Tangara also praised King Mohammed VI’s initiatives and actions, emphasizing their significance in fostering cooperation and unity.

 

The meeting between Tangara and Bourita focused on strengthening bilateral relations and discussing regional issues. Both ministers explored ways to align their positions on African matters, underscoring their commitment to collaboration and shared goals in the sub-region.
