Gambian Volleyball Chief Endorses Nigeria as Host for Future African Tournaments

The President of the Gambian Volleyball Federation, Bai Dodou Jallow, has hailed Nigeria as a secure and efficient host for international volleyball events, following the successful conclusion of the African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship in Abuja.

Speaking during the event held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Jallow, who also heads the Sport Organising Commission of the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB), expressed confidence in Nigeria’s ability to host future CAVB competitions.

He commended the hospitality, organisation, and security arrangements throughout the tournament, noting that participants felt safe and were free to explore the city without incident. “It’s been a very safe place. We’ve had no issues whatsoever, and everyone was able to focus entirely on the competition,” he said.
