Paul Put Unveils 28-Man Uganda Cranes Squad for Morocco Friendlies

Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put has named a 28-man squad for upcoming international friendlies against Cameroon and The Gambia, scheduled to take place in Marrakech, Morocco next month.

The Cranes will first lock horns with Cameroon on June 6, before facing The Gambia on June 9, 2025.

Coach Put’s selection features a solid mix of both local talent and internationally-based players. Twelve of the players ply their trade in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, while the rest come from clubs abroad—a deliberate balance aimed at blending experience with emerging local skill.

Local players and team officials are expected to assemble at FUFA House in Mengo at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2. They will then travel together to Morocco. Foreign-based players will join the team directly in Marrakech.
