Authorities in The Gambia are investigating the suspected murder of a Senegalese marabout, Moussa Bâ, whose body was discovered in Bansang on January 29.
According to a police statement, officers responded to a distress call and found Bâ’s body along with his shoes, glasses, and a suspected murder weapon. His motorbike, however, was missing.
Preliminary investigations indicate that two individuals, claiming to be his relatives, visited him before he left with them. His wife reported his disappearance when he failed to return, leading to the discovery of his body. The two individuals are now unaccounted for, and authorities are working to determine the circumstances of his death.
The police have urged the public to provide any information that could assist in the investigation.
