The Gambia Experience marked the start of its winter holiday season with its first flight from Gatwick to Banjul on October 11th. Passengers arriving at Banjul International Airport were greeted by The Gambia Experience resort team and British High Commissioner Harriet King. A local dance troupe, The Jola Cultural Group, provided an energetic welcome with vibrant drumming and colorful costumes, offering travelers an early taste of The Gambia’s rich cultural heritage.
“Our aim is to make every aspect of our customers’ journey special from the moment they land,” said Karen Durham, product manager for The Gambia Experience. “This welcoming ceremony highlights the unique cultural experiences our holiday packages offer.”
Operating holidays from October to April, the tour operator offers a variety of options, including family-friendly beachfront resorts, boutique hotels, and safari lodges surrounded by nature. With teams based in the UK and The Gambia, they ensure a highly personalized service for their customers. Durham emphasized, “Whether you’re relaxing on The Gambia’s pristine beaches, exploring wildlife, or diving into the local culture, our holidays are tailored for both relaxation and adventure.”
Starting November 1st, The Gambia Experience will launch twice-weekly flights with Titan Airways, offering both economy and star class upgrades. Additional flights from Manchester will also be available from November through April, with more services scheduled between December 16th and February 24th.
