Three Unnatural Deaths Reported in One Week Across Gambia

Police in The Gambia are currently investigating three separate cases of unnatural deaths, including one suspected murder and two possible suicides, all occurring within the span of a few days.

In Sami Pachinko village, Central River Region, a 50-year-old man, Lalo Ceesay, was found hanging from a tree in a nearby bush on Friday. While authorities have not confirmed the circumstances, local sources claim he had earlier shared an audio message alleging that he was lured into the bush and feared he would be killed.

On Saturday in New Yundum, 22-year-old Muhammed Trawally died after being stabbed. A suspect, 20-year-old Ousman Dikko, has been taken into custody. According to investigators, the suspect allegedly used a knife to inflict fatal injuries.

Later that same day in Dobong Kunda, also in the Central River Region, another man, identified as Muhammed Sanno, was found hanging in the bush. Police say the details of the case remain under investigation and updates will follow as more information becomes available.
