Tunisia Aims for Strong Finish in Final CAN 2025 Qualifier Against Gambia

The Tunisian national football team will conclude their CAN 2025 qualification campaign on Monday at the Hamadi Agrebi Stadium in Radès. With their ticket to Morocco already secured, the match against Gambia is seen as an opportunity for redemption after a lackluster performance during the qualifiers.

Despite struggles, Tunisia earned their spot in the final phase last Thursday with a narrow 3-2 victory over Madagascar, marking their 17th consecutive qualification. Interim coach Kais Yaacoubi is focusing on ending the campaign on a high note by refining team tactics during the final training session.

Tunisia’s earlier victory over Gambia during the second round of qualifiers (2-1) showcased a performance far from convincing. Now, the team seeks to reassure fans and maintain their top position in Group A, where they currently lead with 10 points, ahead of Comoros, Gambia, and Madagascar.

Gambia, eliminated after a 2-1 loss to Comoros in the fifth round, enters Monday’s match with no stakes but aims for a respectable exit. For Tunisia, the game offers a chance for the interim coach and players to solidify their roles within the team.

Elsewhere in the group, Comoros, also qualified, will face Madagascar in a parallel match with hopes of securing the top spot.
