WoJAG Launches Project to Empower Women Journalists with Over 1 Million Dalasis Funding

The Women Journalists Association of The Gambia (WoJAG) has announced a significant new initiative aimed at empowering female journalists. With a project worth over one million dalasis, WoJAG seeks to provide resources, training, and support that will enhance the professional growth of women in media across the country.

This funding will be used to organize workshops, mentorship programs, and hands-on training opportunities. WoJAG aims to help women journalists build essential skills, increase their visibility in the media sector, and create pathways for career advancement.

The organization hopes this project will reduce barriers that women often face in journalism and encourage more representation of women in media leadership roles. By fostering a stronger community of female journalists, WoJAG envisions a future where women in media can thrive, share their perspectives, and contribute to a more balanced and inclusive media landscape.
