Arrest Warrant Issued for Murder Suspect Who Fled to Sierra Leone

A bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of Abdul Kamara, also known as “Rahmadan,” a Sierra Leonean accused of murdering retired banking executive Reuben Andrews in Brufut Heights.

Principal Magistrate Muhammed Krubally granted the warrant after police informed the court that Kamara had fled to Sierra Leone. Prosecutor ASP E. Sarr explained that Interpol in Banjul had contacted their counterparts in Sierra Leone, who requested an official warrant to facilitate the suspect’s arrest and extradition.

Magistrate Krubally approved the request, ordering Interpol officers in both countries to locate and hand over Kamara to Gambian authorities as soon as possible. According to the indictment, Kamara is charged with unlawfully causing Andrews’ death with malice afore thought.
