Gambia is set to narrow its budget deficit significantly in 2025 while projecting slightly accelerated economic growth.
The fiscal deficit is expected to shrink to 0.1% of the country’s GDP, down from an estimated 2.6% this year, according to Finance Minister Seedy Keita. Speaking in Banjul, the capital, he noted that the economy is on track to grow by 5.8% next year, compared to 5.7% in 2024.
These adjustments reflect the government’s efforts to bolster fiscal stability and foster sustainable growth.
