“Operation Clear the Road Launched in Banjul”

A new initiative, titled “Operation Clear the Road,” has been launched in Banjul, aiming to address traffic congestion and improve road safety in the city.

Authorities are working to clear illegally parked vehicles, remove street vendors obstructing traffic flow, and ensure that the city’s main roads remain accessible.

The operation, led by local enforcement agencies, seeks to restore order on Banjul’s streets, which have become increasingly crowded in recent months. Officials are urging drivers and pedestrians alike to follow traffic rules and cooperate with the operation to maintain a smooth and safe road network. Penalties, including fines, are expected for those who violate the new regulations.

The initiative is part of broader efforts to improve urban mobility and reduce traffic accidents, creating a safer environment for residents and visitors.
