The 2025 Gambinos Cup ended on Monday, April 21, at the Gambinos Complex in Mandinari, where Gambinos Stars Africa clinched a 1-0 victory over Senegal Elite Stars to retain their U14 title.
The three-day youth tournament featured teams from across the region, delivering exciting football and showcasing rising talent.
The event began on Friday, April 18, with Gambinos Stars Africa drawing 2-2 against Senegal Elite Stars in a hard-fought opener. Sulayman Sambou opened the scoring for the Senegalese side with a long-range shot, before Biran Bah equalized with a header. In the second half, Momodou Lamin Sanneh put Senegal back in front, but Modou Lamin Bah quickly responded with a powerful strike to level the game again.

Later that day, LK City and RS Talinding ended their match in a 1-1 draw. Senegal Elite Stars followed up with an impressive 4-1 win over RS Talinding, led by Sulayman Sambou’s hat-trick and a goal from Younous Patrick Mayol. Lamin Sanneh scored the only goal for RS Talinding. Gambinos Stars Africa wrapped up the day with a commanding 6-1 victory over RS Talinding, powered by a hat-trick from Muhammed Ali Bah and additional goals from Aziz Nadella, Abdoulie Fatty, and Derek Sonko. Ebrima Drammeh scored for RS Talinding.
On Saturday, April 19, SYFA recorded a dominant 7-1 win over Unique Global FC, while KGH Sports edged Greater Tomorrow FC 4-3 in a thrilling contest. Gambinos Stars Africa and LK City played to a goalless draw, and Senegal Elite Stars defeated RS Talinding 4-0 to complete the group stage.
The final took place on Sunday, April 20, with Gambinos Stars Africa narrowly edging Senegal Elite Stars 1-0 to claim the championship once more. Earlier that day, Greater Tomorrow secured third place with a 2-0 win over KGH Sports.
The tournament reflected the rising level of youth football in the region, with all teams showing skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
