The prosecution alleged that in September 2024, Ceesay obtained D600,000 from Lamin Fatty and Buba Suwareh in Gunjur village, promising to secure European visa representation for them, despite knowing the claim was false.
Ceesay pleaded not guilty to the charge. The prosecution requested an adjournment to ensure the presence of a key witness. The magistrate granted bail to Ceesay, setting it at D100,000 with one Gambian surety, who must provide valid identification. The case is scheduled to continue on December 2, 2024.
