Authorities in Bansang have launched an investigation into the death of a pregnant woman following an alleged assault by her husband.
According to initial reports, the woman, identified as Maimuna Jallow, was rushed to Bansang Hospital after the incident but was later pronounced dead.
Police intervened to stop burial arrangements in order to conduct a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
